Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society

Head of Marketing

  • £45,000 per year
  • Closing date – 27 November 2024
  • Liverpool

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic is one of the UK’s most important music organisations, reaching over 500,000 people annually through its live and participative work, and millions more online. Its work encompasses the world-renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, a diverse programme of over 400 concerts and events each year in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and The Music Room, our Youth Company and an extensive music learning and outreach programme.

We are currently recruiting a Head of Marketing to maximise event income and increase participation in Liverpool Philharmonic’s programmes and activities. Leading a busy Marketing team, the postholder will work to continuously improve marketing processes, developing and delivering ambitious marketing and sales plans across several platforms, and leading the organisation’s audience development strategy to attract and retain new customers from across our communities. Creating and implementing a digital marketing strategy, the Head of Marketing will oversee the production of brochures and print material, and manage marketing budgets and income forecasting. They will liaise with colleagues in the programme planning team, maintain strong relationships with external promoters, and lead on collecting audience feedback, providing insights to inform our activity.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing team for one of the country’s most dynamic and highly regarded music organisations. We are seeking a confident and pragmatic candidate with a successful track record in marketing management and a close understanding of performing arts and/or events marketing, who will use their knowledge of classical music to devise and implement innovative marketing strategies and deliver against ambitious targets.
