Chair of the Board of Trustees
- Closing date – 16 November 2024
- Saltaire, Bradford
Join us at The Peace Museum during an exciting time of transformation, as we welcome visitors to our new gallery space within Salt’s Mill, Saltaire – a UNESCO world heritage site. You’ll be a key part in our mission of promoting a peaceful future through the sharing of stories of peace from the past and present.

As Chair, you will be responsible for all aspects of the leadership and effectiveness of the Board, and management of the Museum Director. Shape and support the delivery of our vision and objectives, ensure all voices are heard on our Board, and advocate for the museum in local, national and international networks.
We are looking for someone who brings –

- Experience in leading a charity or other not-for-profit organisation through a significant period of growth and change
- Strong business acumen and a highly strategic approach to help facilitate the long-term development of the museum
- Enthusiasm and commitment, with time to dedicate to the role
- Commitment to the values and aims of The Peace Museum, using a collection of objects to tell stories of nonviolence and war resistance
- Knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and commitment to embedding EDI in all aspects of the Museum’s structure and organisation
