Arts Professional is working in partnership with The Space to present a series of articles spotlighting new ways of creating and distributing digital content, and exploring the wealth of new technologies and platforms coming online.
The Space is a publicly funded company that supports the UK’s cultural sector to explore and develop a strategic approach to remote audience engagement and digital content creation and innovation. We’ve commissioned and produced over 350 digital projects, which have achieved more than 30 million audience sessions.
We’ve supported over 800 UK arts, heritage, community organisations, museums, libraries and artists to develop, produce and distribute digital content for various online and broadcast platforms. Our learning programme consists of online resources, webinars, training and mentoring schemes to share learning from the projects we commission and support. This knowledge is passed on via peer-to-peer networks to help the sector further develop skills and knowledge.
