North Nottinghamshire arts organisation, the Harley Foundation, has appointeBRYONY BOND as its new director.

Bond, who will take up the role in March 2025, replaces current director LISA GEE, who is retiring at the end of February after 26 years leading the organisation.

The Harley Foundation is based on the rural Welbeck Estate and has a gallery, museum and pottery studio.

Chair DAISY PARENTE said that under Gee’s directorship, “the foundation has done extraordinary work in bringing internationally known makers, artists, visitors, charities and schools together at Welbeck”.

She added: “Lisa’s creative and ambitious work has grown our audiences and enabled wonderful exhibitions and new endeavours with great passion and success.”

Bond will join the foundation from The Tetley in Leeds – recently rebranded as Yorkshire Contemporary – where she has been director since 2016.

Prior to The Tetley, she was a curator at the Whitworth gallery in Manchester. She has also worked at Camden Arts Centre and the A Foundation, Liverpool.

Bond said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Harley Foundation to build on the rich legacy of Lisa’s directorship.

“Lisa has shaped an incredibly special place here, and it will be an honour and a
privilege to continue her work.”
