Boscombe adds Council cash to European cultural enterprise funding
The Council will also employ a dedicated post to support the development of the creative industries in the town.
A creative project in Boscombe, Dorset, has received £207k boost from the Council to match the £208k from the European partnership project Recreate, to help kick-start the town’s creative industries. Recreate aims to encourage economic growth and promote social regeneration in declining urban centres, and the project will create a new creative industries enterprise and business hub in the town, offering work, meeting and activity space, as well as providing pop-up exhibition and selling opportunities in empty town centre spaces. The Council will also employ a dedicated creative industries post to manage the project and support the sector’s development.
