Victory for amateur arts as restrictions are relaxed

Non-professional brass, wind and singing groups can now practice and perform together.

Their return follows new research that indicates a low risk of transmitting coronavirus through these activities.

Voluntary Arts has applauded the change in DCMS' guidelines: "There are still various restrictions in place in terms of group numbers and social distancing, but this is a welcome change that will mean a great deal to choirs and music groups across England".
