Marge Ainsley uses the example of her son, who only spends 7 minutes per visit in his local museum, as the basis for a question about ticket prices: would it be fairer to pay for how long you stay?

Yesterday we visited Bolton Museum with our son. We go every Saturday. He loves it. And it’s free. Those are two key factors which make it a ‘good experience’ for us as a family.
But he spends an average of 7 minutes inside. Yes, that’s right. About 7 minutes.
It isn’t because our son doesn’t like going to museums. Or that the museum doesn’t have anything for children to do (quite the opposite — a programme of family events were available all day yesterday for free)... Keep reading on Medium
