Supriya Nagarajan

Born in Bombay, India, Supriya studied Carnatic vocal music from the age of five and her passionate love of music drove her desire to help people from all backgrounds find that passion within themselves.
Supriya has performed around the world, including India, Thailand, Cambodia and across Europe, and now hopes to build a stronger Carnatic music community in the north of England.
In 2012 Supriya received a nomination for the National Microsoft Diversity Awards, in recognition of her contribution to promoting diversity and access to the arts.
Most recently Supriya has worked with UK-based contemporary artists including Ben Castle, Shri Sriram and Duncan Chapman.
In 2017 she is working with neuroscientists at Queensland University in Brisbane, Australia, to explore the connection between the human brain and lullabies.
