Creative Producer at The Spark Arts for Children
Tara’s main focus at The Spark is delivering Vital Spark, a four-year programme which aims to address the gap of diverse work for children by supporting a talented group of BAME, D/deaf and disabled artists
Prior to The Spark, Tara worked with the East Midlands Caribbean Carnival Arts Network (EMCCAN), supporting them to realise a range of initiatives including two national tours: ‘Flight of Fantasy’ and ‘Taking Flight’ and a ‘Carnival in Education’ programme.
In 2017, Tara was awarded a place on The Extend Cultural Leadership Programme, a programme led by Engage and developed in response to the under-representation of learning and education staff in the arts and cultural sectors. Through this programme she undertook a 12-month research project around diversity in the arts and the unconscious bias.
