Clancy named Interim CEO at Oldham Coliseum

LAUREN CLANCY has become Interim Chief Executive at Oldham Coliseum Theatre company. 

Formerly Bush Theatre’s Executive Director, Clancy stepped down from the organisation in May following nine years in post. 

Originally from the North West, Clancy is a freelance Executive Director and consultant, and Chair of Bristol-based theatre company Ad Infinitum Limited’s inaugural Board of trustees. 

Clancy will lead the Coliseum’s work with Oldham Council and Cultural Partnership Board in the development of a new building and theatre following the venue's closure earlier this year.

Her appointment comes alongside the news that Oldham Coliseum Theatre company will receive more than £860,000 in funding over the next three years. The funding, awarded by Oldham Council, is aimed at facilitating smaller-scale theatre productions in non-theatre spaces as it prepares to move to a new venue in 2026.
