The League of Independent Producers has announced that REBECCA GWYTHER and RAMIN SABI have been elected to its board, while HANNA OSMOLSKA has been co-opted.

Gwyther and Sabi will serve three-year terms at the industry body that represents over 140 of the UK’s independent theatre producers.

A producer, general manager and chartered accountant, Gwyther runs RJG Productions, a company focusing on new writing. She sits on the board of Get Into Theatre and Mercury Musical Developments.

As founder and Executive Producer at DEM Productions, Sabi has produced and managed 20 shows. As an independent co-producer, he has worked on shows in the West End and on Broadway.

Sabi also chairs the Board of SCRUM Theatre, sits on SOLT’s Policy and Investment Sub-Committees, and has worked as an Economist for the Treasury.

Osmolska is Executive Director of Simon Friend Entertainment, an independent theatre and film production company that develops, produces and manages its own productions.

She previously worked for Playful Productions, English Touring Theatre, Mark Rubinstein Ltd, Shared Experience and Cheek by Jowl and has also lectured at City Lit in Arts Administration.

Chair of the League of Independent Producers, JAMES SEABRIGHT, said he was delighted to welcome the new appointees to the league’s 15-strong board.

“They all bring a wealth of experience and ideas at a time when our membership is higher than it has ever been,” said Seabright, “thanks in part to a successful junior membership programme.

“I look forward to working with them over the coming years as the League continues its essential work in representing and advocating for the work of independent producers across the UK.”
