Six new trustees join Theatres Trust

Culture Secretary LUCY FRAZER has appointed VICKY BROWNING, ANNA COLLINS, LIAM EVANS-FORD, TRACY-ANN OBERMAN, SARATHA RAJESWARAN and MICHELE TAYLOR as Trustees of the Theatres Trust.

The cohort began three-year terms on 1 April, except for Collins, who joined on 29 April.

Rajeswaran is Chief of Staff to the Group CEO at Aviva plc. 

Browning is a former magazine journalist, editor and publisher, who worked at Haymarket Publishing for 16 years, followed by six years as an independent publishing consultant, before moving to the charity sector.

Evans-Ford has been Executive Director and CEO at Theatr Clwyd since 2016. Before joining Clwyd, he was Associate Producer and Capital Development Associate at York Theatre Royal and General Manager and Producer at Sheffield Crucible Theatres.

Chair of Creu Cymru, the development agency for theatres, arts centres, and theatre producers in Wales, Evans-Ford also sits on the Business Advisory Board for the North Wales Growth Deal, the Strategic Advisory Group for the North East Wales Investment Zone, and the Advisory Group for the UK-wide Access Scheme, All In.

Collins spent her early career in Scotland managing front-of-house operations for ATG and Glasgow Life before turning freelance in 2012. She then managed a London 2012 Olympic venue and led the development and operation of a new competition venue for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

For the last decade, she has worked on construction and refurbishment projects with clients, including The National Theatre, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Northamptonshire Council and The Factory International. 

An actress, writer, and theatre creator, Oberman has worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre, and the West End.

Taylor is the Director for Change at Ramps on the Moon, a collaborative network of six National Portfolio Organisation theatres that aims to normalise the presence of D/deaf and disabled people on and off stage. She has been the access consultant on several buildings and contributed to the second edition of Theatre Buildings, A Design Guide.
