Sulkin returns to Hoxton Hall after 50 years
DAVID SULKIN OBE has been appointed the new Chair of the Board for Hoxton Hall in London, replacing interim Chair ALISTAIR ELDER who remains a trustee.
The board made the announcement saying: "As an organisation, we are excited to have David as our chair. [He] brings a wealth of experience, a fresh perspective, and a visionary approach to leadership at Hoxton Hall."
Sulkin has 50 years experience in the creative sector, starting in 1973 as a member of the Hoxton Hall Community Theatre and Education Project. Later he became Director of the Royal Court Young People’s Theatre and the Young Writers’ Festival. He worked widely internationally and since 2017, he has been Director of Artist Development at the National Opera Studio, London.
Sulkin says: "It gives me great pleasure to return … to Hoxton Hall – an extraordinary venue with deep roots in its community going back 160 years, giving my time and experience to ensure the future of this unique venue where young and old alike can grow and develop through friendship and artistic endeavour."
