Attitude is Everything welcomes Co-Chair and Trustees
Attitude is Everything has appointed JACQUI ADENIJI-WILLIAMS as Co-Chair, alongside five trustees.
Working closely alongside Co-Chair JANE DYBALL, Adeniji-Williams will replace HANNAH MCKEARNEN.
A poet and songwriter, Adeniji-Williams has over 15 years experience creating art and performing across different industries. She is passionate about challenging societal perceptions, including what it means to be a black woman with a disability.
“In all the years I’ve known about this great organisation I’ve witnessed it go from strength to strength,” Adeniji-Williams said.
As a former trustee, she has “grown a better understanding of all the incredible work Attitude is Everything does and learnt more about how important Attitude is Everything is to the music industry”.
Alongside Adeniji-Williams, Head of Subject at Falmouth University's Cornwall Business School ADRIAN BOSSEY joins as a trustee. Bossey supported Attitude is Everything in developing online CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses and promoted the original launch party of the organisation.
Also becoming trustees are BEN PRICE, an Artist Manager focusing on disability integration in the music industry, and RAY POPE, Director of Creative Talent Acquisition at Universal Music UK. Pope worked on Universal’s Creative Differences, a handbook for embracing neurodiversity in the creative industries.
“Everyone has the right to experience music and live events,” Pope said.
“Valuing disabled people as audience members, performers, professionals, and volunteers is something we should all care deeply about. There should be no barriers to people having the same experiences.”
UK Music's Parliamentary and Research Manager HANNAH MCLENNAN joins as a Shadow Trustee, while Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales DANIEL POUNDER is named Treasurer.
Pounder said Attitude is Everything is a “brilliant charity committed to real change in the music industry for disabled people led by inspiring leaders and committed staff”.
