Birmingham 2022 unveils creative team

The creative team set for opening and closing ceremonies of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games has been unveiled.

The team includes Birmingham-born theatre director IQBAL KHAN as Artistic Director.

Novelist MAEVA CLARKE has been appointed Writer, and rapper JOUSHA 'RTKal' HOLNESS will be Music Director.

BAFTA nominated MISTY BUCKLEY joins the team as set designer and BAFTA award winner HAMISH HAMILTON will be Broadcast Director.

STEVEN KNIGHT has been announced as Executive Producer. He has previously written screenplays for the films Closed Circuit, Dirty Pretty Things, and Eastern Promises.
