Carberry to step down from Iris Theatre

Iris Theatre’s Artistic Director PAUL-RYAN CARBERRY is stepping down this spring to pursue other creative opportunities.

Carberry oversaw the launch of the company’s first indoor space, The Pod, and last year introduced a commissiong scheme that funds five artists to present work at the theatre's summer festival. 

He also introduced initiatives to support early career artists including Start, a development scheme for aspiring directors and designers.

“Despite a difficult two years impacted by the pandemic, I have been incredibly proud of the work our exceptional team have achieved together. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported us over the last two years, and to our audiences especially,” he said.
