BRENDAN CORMIER has been appointed Chief Curator of V&A East, a new museum and storehouse in East London.

He is currently Senior Curator of Exhibitions and Special Projects at the Victoria and Albert Museum, where he works on the generation and development of exhibition ideas and content across all V&A sites. He is also a former Managing Editor of Volume Magazine.

V&A East Storehouse, which will provide visitors with public access to V&A collections, is due to open in 2024. V&A East Museum is set to open in 2025 and will feature exhibitions, festivals, commissions, installations, live performances, pop-ups and late-night events.

The two sites are currently under construction in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and will form part of East Bank, the Mayor of London’s £1.1billion Olympic legacy project, which plans to create an arts, innovation and education hub in Stratford.
