Director appointed to new Institute at University of Kent
DAVID SEFTON will be Director of Culture and Creative Projects at the recently formed Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (ICCI) at the University of Kent. He will be responsible for the delivery of a programme of creative activities and events at the University and across the county. The role spans events at the Gulbenkian Arts Centre and Colyer-Fergusson Hall on campus, and the annual bOing! International Family Festival.
His earlier career including a decade on London’s South Bank where he was founding director of the Meltdown Festival, following which he spent ten years in the US as Artistic & Executive Director of UCLA Live, the public arts unit of the University of California. More recently he was Artistic Director of the Adelaide Festival and consulted for the Walt Disney Organisation.
