Fierce welcomes new chair

PAUL BURNS has been named Fierce’s new Chair, succeeding EILEEN EVANS.

Currently Creative Scotland’s Head of Dance and Interim Deputy Director of Arts and Engagement, Burns has worked in dance for the past 15 years.

He joins the dance festival as it prepares to deliver projects at the Birmingham 2022 Festival and the Edinburgh Festivals, as well the 25th anniversary of its own festival in October.

“The team at Fierce have done remarkable work and achieved considerable growth for the organisation over the last few years,” Burns said.

“I’m excited to be joining the organisation at the start of a momentous year.”
