Fung joins PDSW as Chisholm steps down
VICTOR FUNG will become Pavilion Dance South West’s (PDSW) next artistic director and joint CEO.
He replaces ZANNAH CHISHOLM, who is stepping down as artistic director CEO after 10 years with the company.
Fung has a wealth of experience as a cultural enabler and dance artist and specialises in transnational collaborative projects, bringing together talents of diverse backgrounds through international exchange.
He says it will be a privilege to build on the “exemplary work that PDSW has accomplished under Chisholm’s recent leadership”.
“I am excited to be leading PDSW in bringing about positive change through cultivating a vibrant dancing community in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and [the] South West, collaborating with artists in the region and across the UK, and connecting with the world to share our passion for dance.”
Chisholm joined PDSW in 2012 with 20 years experience in arts management and became artistic director CEO in 2017.
She says there have been many highlights from her tenure, and feels particularly proud of getting people excited about dance and making a positive difference to many communities.
“Covid has proved to be one of the biggest challenges but we’ve worked hard as a team and are in good financial shape to continue our drive to make an impact and bring positive dance experiences to more people.”
