Head of UK Theatre moves to Creative Folkestone
SEBASTIAN CHESWRIGHT CATER has been appointed Interim Chief Operating Officer at Creative Folkestone.
His new role will see him work closely alongside Chief Executive ALASTAIR UPTON.
Cater's appointment comes after a tenure as Head of UK Theatre & Workforce Development at the Society of London Theatre (SOLT) and UK Theatre.
He left his position before a "root and branch" restructuring at these organisations, which will see up to four more people depart.
Cater will be succeeded by Joint Chief Executives CLAIRE WALKER and HANNAH ESSEX, who will head up both SOLT and UK Theatre.
Previously, Cater was Director of Sales and Marketing at Sadler's Wells.
"Creative Folkestone's work over the last decade or so has transformed the town – and it is the company's work that inspired me and drew me to this place I now call my home," Cater commented.
"Together, we can continue using creativity to make Folkestone a better place to live, work, study, play and visit for ALL."
