Historic Royal Palaces appoints new chair
Sir NICHOLAS COLERIDGE has been appointed Chair of Historic Royal Palaces by King Charles.
Coleridge will take up the post for a three-year term from 1 November, replacing CAROLE SOUTER, who has been interim chair for a year.
A former media executive, Coleridge was for thirty years successively Editorial Director, Managing Director and President of the Condé Nast media group.
He has been Chair of the Professional Publishers Association, the British Fashion Council, the Prince of Wales’s Campaign for Wool, and was Co-Chair of the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
Since 2012, Coleridge has been a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum, becoming chair in 2015. He was knighted in this year's Birthday Honours for services to museums, publishing and the creative industries.
