Six new trustees are joining the Independent Cinema Office (ICO).

Award-winning artist and film director AYO AKINGBADE, Little Dot Studios editor HARRY KALFAYAN and former Senior Programme Manager at the British Council's Film department WILL MASSA have all been elected.

They are joined by EMILY McDONALD, who licences feature film content, The Idlewild Trust Director ELEANOR McGRATH, and qualified accountant amd experienced board director AMEET PAREKH.

They join an existing team of seven, with GEORGE SAWTELL and JULIAN CONNERTY due to step down this year.

ICO Director Catharine Des Forges said the new trustees bring a wealth of experience and ideas to the board.

“Together with our fantastic existing Trustees, we’re looking forward to planning our next five year strategy, bringing the best of world cinema to audiences across the UK wherever they live and supporting the development of professional talent in the sector.”
