STEFAN KALMAR is leaving the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) London after five years at the helm.

Kalmar, who believes top roles at museums should be fixed tenures, is the institution's first non-British Director. He succeeded GREGOR MUIR, leaving New York's Artists Space gallery in 2016.

He oversaw several major exhibitions at ICA and launched a new live performance programme, Temporal Deprogramming.

ICA will begin a search for his replacement soon.
