Larmour to leave Watford Palace
Watford Palace Theatre’s Artistic Director and Chief Executive BRIGID LARMOUR is to stand down in spring next year.
The theatre is undergoing a leadership restructure which does not include a permanent artistic director. Further details of the new business model are yet to be finalised.
Larmour joined the theatre 16 years ago and has been recognised for evolving its operational model, supporting freelancers and independent companies, increasing the diversity of its audiences and championing female perspectives, writers and creatives.
“It has been a joy to work on this stage, with this team, and in this town for the past 16 years. Now we have secured ACE funding to continue the Palace’s work into the next NPO period, I am excited to be able to move into the next chapter of my career,” Larmour commented.
Larmour’s final production will be The Merchant of Venice 1936, opening in February.
