Manchester Jewish Museum's Chief Executive MAX DUNBAR and Chair of Trustees ANDREW SINGER have announced their resignations.

Dunbar will leave at the end of December after 10 years at the museum to take up a position in the University of Manchester's Development Team.

Singer chaired his final trustee meeting in October after 14 years as a trustee and nine as Chair.

The pair led the museum through a £6m redevelopment, culminating in its reopening in July.

"The time is right to open the doors for someone new to come in and grow the museum as it undertakes the next exciting stage of its journey," they said.

Recruitment for a new permanent Chief Executive is ongoing, with GARETH REDSTON acting as Interim Chief Executive.

Recruitment for a new chair will being early 2022. Trustee RICHARD CHAMPMAN is Interim Board Chair.
