National Galleries of Scotland has named ISABELLA MILLER as Director of Audience.

She joins the organisation following a 32-year stint at the John Lewis Partnership, where she held leadership roles across multiple branches and head office. She was also President of the John Lewis Council.

In her new role, Miller will be responsible for public engagement both in person and online, overseeing the gallery's trading company, marketing and communications, digital content, audience insight and visitor experience.

Director-General Sir JOHN LEIGHTON said Miller has “unparalleled experience” and an “excellent understanding” of National Galleries of Scotland, as she has served on the board of the trading company since its establishment over ten years ago.

“It is an honour and a privilege to be part of such a wonderful organisation, and to help deliver our mission to make art work for everyone,” Miller commented.

“I look forward to sharing all the amazing things that we do, reaching out to as large an audience as possible and continuing to encourage inclusivity for all.”
