New Chair and board members for OperaUpClose

OperaUpClose has appointed a new Chair, ABIGAIL TOLAND, who was founding a trustee of Second Movement opera company. She replaces JANE EARL, who has served as Chair since 2016 and has been appointed Chair of Sunderland Culture.

Three new trustees have also joined the board: MATTHEW LYONS is Head of Young Company at Chickenshed; CAROLYN WARD has been a trustee at Soho Theatre, Help Musicians UK and the Yard Theatre; and JOHN ANDREWS has conducted productions for Opera Holland Park, Garsington Opera, the Grange Festival, English Touring Opera and the Volkstheater Rostcock.
