New chair for Urban Land Institute

SHERRY DOBBIN has been appointed to chair the Urban Land Institute, the UK’s Urban Art Forum that advocates for creative placemaking, bringing together the cultural and creative industries with the property sector. A partner in the global placemaking and public art commissioning agency Futurecity, she takes over from co-founder HALA EL-AKL. Dobbin’s experience includes producing, managing and curating art forms including theatre, dance and opera. She developed a public-art program as Director of Times Square Arts and has led partnerships, projects and collaborations between the property sector, city authorities and the cultural sector, including the move of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to Wembley Park.
