New Director for Barra Culture

DANIEL TYLER-MCTIGHE is joining Barrow-in-Furness arts programme, Barra Culture, as its new Director. He joins after spending the previous decade working in Birmingham, where he directed the Multilingual Performance Project for the University of Oxford, produced for Open Theatre, a company who work with people with learning disabilities, and worked on a series of short films about the Shakespeare collection at the Library of Birmingham, produced in more than 50 languages.

The Cumbrian cultural programme received £1.93m from Arts Council England's Creative People and Places programme in November 2019. The project will stage a celebration festival in 2023.
