New Executive Director at World Monuments Fund Britain
MAGNUS VON WISTINGHAUSEN is the new Executive Director of World Monuments Fund Britain (WMFB).
He succeeds JOHN DARLINGTON, who following eight years at the helm, is set to assume a new role of Director of Projects at WMFB.
Wistinghausen has developed over 25 years experience in the arts and heritage sector and higher education. He has worked as a consultant for museum and heritage organisations and their funders and as Vice Principal of City & Guilds of London Art School.
He is also a trustee of Yorkshire Sculpture Park and current Chair of Ragged School Museum Trust in London.
Working at WMFB, Wistinghausen will be responsible for leading a strategic growth plan, managing and developing stakeholder relationships and overseeing project delivery. He will work closely with Darlington to deliver existing commitments and identify new projects.
“With cultural heritage around the world facing unprecedented challenges and threats, WMF’s role and work is more important than ever,” Wistinghausen said.
“I am looking forward to working with the Trustees, John Darlington in his new role, and WMF colleagues and partners in Britain and around the world to build on WMFB’s achievements and continue to grow its reach, relevance, and impact.”
