New Head of Vocal Performance at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Mezzo-soprano KAREN CARGILL will become the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's (RCS) Head of Vocal Performance on an interim basis from September.

A regular performer at the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Royal Opera House, Cargill will be performing at this year's Glyndebourne Festival before starting her new role.

Cargill is an alumna of the RCS and a Patron of the National Girls’ Choir of Scotland. 

She received an Honorary Doctorate from the conservatoire in 2018 and was appointed an RCS Associate Artist in 2019.
