New Interim CEO at Shoreditch Town Hall
JULIE FLAVELL will become Interim Chief Executive at Shoreditch Town Hall, succeeding BETH BYRNE.
Flavell joins the cultural events space from her interim position as Head of Visitor Programmes and Exhibitions at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Previously, she held positions as a Producer at Royal Academy of Arts, London's Southbank Centre and UNBOXED.
Flavell will hold the post for six months from December as the recruitment process for a permanent Chief Executive continues.
"It has been an absolute privilege to work with the fantastic team here and represent Shoreditch Town Hall for the past two and a half years," commented Byrne, who leaves to join Warwick Arts Centre as Creative Director.
She said Flavell would bring "enormous skill and passion" to the organisation, helping to "safeguard the Town Hall’s future."
Flavell added: "I am delighted to be working again in Shoreditch, in such a welcoming space that has the community at its heart.
"I am excited to join the team for six months to build on the diverse artistic programme and optimise the commercial opportunities this grand historic building has to offer."
