Northern Ballet’s Artistic Director to step down
Northern Ballet has announced that DAVID NIXON, its longest serving Artistic Director, will step down from the role in December after 20 years. During his time there the company has produced 29 full-length ballets; as a choreographer and designer, Nixon created 13 of them.
His contributions to the company include Wuthering Heights, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Great Gatsby and The Little Mermaid. He restaged and adapted a further six productions.
