Oramo continues as BBC Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor

SAKARI ORAMO has been renewed as Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

The Finnish composer first joined the orchestra in 2013 and will now hold his position for a further four years.

He says he is beyond excited to continue post: “On the musical, artistic and human level, I couldn’t imagine any better environment than this musical family consisting of the Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Chorus and the BBC Singers.”
