PRS for Music picks Mansfield as independent board leader

GILL MANSFIELD, a commercial lawyer, is the new Non-Executive Director of the PRS Members' Council and Board.

The licensing society says her skills in corporate, IP protection and digital law will lend "an independent perspective alongside business expertise".

Mansfield has held senior positions at MTV Networks Europe, SoundCloud, Random House and Moonpig.com, among other household names, over the past 25 years.

She will chair PRS' distribution committee, which approves any new policies around licensing rights and revenue streams.
