Ranote joins Castlefield Gallery board of trustees

Castlefield Gallery has appointed Professor SANDEEP RANOTE to its board of trustees.

Ranote is Executive Medical Lead for Mental Health at Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership and Director of Mental Health & Clinical Transformation for Wigan.

Through her work as a psychiatrist, Ranote says she is a strong advocate for the role of art and culture in maintaining good mental health from prevention, to treatment, and recovery. 

“Picasso once said that the purpose of art was to wash the dust of daily life off our souls,” she said.

“I am delighted to become a trustee at Castlefield Gallery and with this privilege I believe we can build partnerships that could deliver Picasso’s prescription.”
