MANVINDER RATTAN will join the Voices Foundation as its Chief Executive from September.

He is currently CEO and Head of Conductor Training at Sing for Pleasure, where he devised a young conductors' programme. His role at Voices Foundation will involve implementing the music education organisation's three-year strategy, focussing specifically on disadvantaged pupils.

Rattan has been Musical Director of the John Lewis Partnership Music Society since 1995, with responsibility for 15 choirs and an orchestra. He is also Musical Director of the Serfine Chamber Choir and Sinfonia.

In 2016, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by York St John University for his services to music and conducting.
