Royal Ballet announces new season appointments

The Royal Ballet has announced its new appointments for the 2021/22 season.

JONATHAN LO will join the Ballet as Staff Conductor. Lo is currently Music Director of Northern Ballet and a guest conductor for Birmingham Royal Ballet, Rambert Dance, Dutch National Ballet and Scottish Ballet.

JOSEPH TOONGA has been named Emerging Choreographer. Winner of the Best Choreography Award at Reverb Dance Festival in 2015, Toonga is also co-founder of hip-hop initiative Artists4Artists.

CHARLOTTE POLITI takes up the Constant Lambert Conducting Fellowship, EDO FRENKEL joins the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme as Ballet Conductor and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduate HANNAH QUINN joins the Music Staff as Royal Ballet Company Pianist.

The ballet is also welcoming four dancers to the company through the Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme: OLIVIA FINDLEY, AVA MAY LLEWELLYN, VIOLA PANTUSO and ALIX VAN TIGGELEN
