Six new trustees at Youth Music
Music charity Youth Music has announced six new trustees.
The new appointments include Head of Music at boutique law firm Clintons BERKELEY EDWARDS, International Product Manager at record label AWAL BRE MCDERMOTT-KING and Innovation Manager for Cheltenham Festivals ANDREW LANSLEY.
Joining them are senior research practitioner HANNA CHALMERS, national programme lead for children and young people’s mental health at NHS England SARAH BROWN, and PAUL BONHAM, who currently leads Music Manager Forum's Accelerator programme.
The new trustees join an existing seven, working to reduce inequalities in access to music-making and education, and help secure partnerships and income from the creative industries.
Chair of Youth Music YOLANDA BROWN said she is “thrilled” to welcome the trustees.
“We recognise the ongoing challenges faced by grassroots music projects and young people in the industry, and we are grateful for the diverse talents and skills our new recruits bring to the table.
“With their help, I am confident that we can create a more inclusive and equitable future for music and the young people we serve."
