The UK Dance Network has chosen FEARGHUS Ó CONCHÚIR as its new Independent Chair.

He succeeds GREGORY NASH, who completes his term today (3 September).

A choreographer and dance artist, Ó Conchúir is currently co-leading a dance programme with Micro Rainbow International as part of The Casement Project to support LGBT refugees and asylum seekers.

He was previously Artistic Director of National Dance Company Wales and was appointed to the Arts Council of Ireland in 2018, becoming Deputy Chair in 2019.

"I’m delighted to chair and facilitate the UK Dance Network to support individuals and organisations that dedicate themselves to making dance visible, vibrant and accessible for artists, audiences and enthusiasts of all kinds," Ó Conchúir commented.
