YolanDa Brown to step down from Youth Music
Chair of Youth Music, YOLANDA BROWN, will be stepping down in March 2024.
Saxophonist, broadcaster and author, Brown has led the charity for six years, during which time she introduced initiatives for people aged 18 to 25 to advance their careers in the music industry.
She is Chair of BPI (British Phonographic Industry), a member of Arts Council England's National Council and a trustee of the PRS Foundation.
As a champion for music education, Brown also sits on the advisory panel for the National Plan for Music Education.
Brown said: “It’s been an incredible journey, one filled with learning, inspiration, and most importantly, meaningful impact in the lives of young people through the power of music."
Youth Music’s Chief Executive MATT GRIFFITHS said: “It’s been wonderful working with YolanDa, and I’m so proud of what we have achieved together.
"We’ve all hugely benefited from YolanDa’s expertise, energy and trusting friendship to achieve our significant growth and development at Youth Music."
Recruitment for a new Chair has begun.
