A new venue for arts and science collaboration will open in London following two capital funding awards totalling £7m. In 2015 King’s College London will open a Science Gallery at its Guy’s Campus, one of the world’s leading centres for biomedical research, following confirmation of funding of £3m from the Wellcome Trust and £4 from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, towards a total funding target of £12m. The complex, which will be free to visit, will feature exhibition galleries, a theatre and a café and will host events, performances and festivals that bring science, technology and health into dialogue with the arts and design. Neuroscientist Dr Daniel Glaser,  the Gallery’s newly appointed Director, said it offered a completely new way to engage audiences: “People from every background and discipline can come together to innovate, explore research and ask challenging questions in an accessible and welcoming way.”
